Day 1: Airport Pick up

After arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport , your driver will collect you from the airport and will bring you to Babylon Lodge, located along the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Day 2: Lake Chala

After breakfast you will visit Lake Chala along the border to Kenya. This deep Lake lies deep in a caldera, surrounded by bush land which reaches far into Kenya. On a cloudless day you would have a beautiful view to Kilimanjaro. Thereafter to will drive to the town of Moshi at the foot of Kilimanjaro and then continue towards Arusha. In Boma Ng’ombe you will keep left and will drive into Maasai land to some beautiful warm wells, which look like an oasis, surrounded by bush land. It is even possible to swim there. In the later afternoon you will continue to Meru View Lodge, which is located not far from the border of Arusha National Park. On a clear day you can see Kilimanjaro, Tanzania’s highest mountain and Mr. Meru, Tanzania’s second highest mountain.

Day 3: Arusha National Park

You will visit Arusha National Park today. Some films were shot in this park. The most famous one was HATARI with John Wayne. You will walk with an armed ranger for a couple of hours and might come quite close to some animals. Thereafter you will drive up a part of the slopes of Mt. Meru through beautiful wild forest. After your descent you will continue with game drives. You will visit such places as the Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater where you will hopefully see some beautiful black and white colored colobus monkeys in the forest. In the later afternoon you will return to Meru View Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park.

After an early breakfast you will continue to the foot of the Rift Valley and to Lake Manyara National Park. This park has a beautiful flora, but also very interesting wildlife. If you are very lucky, you might even see some lions on the trees. Later in the afternoon you will leave Manyara and will drive up the slopes of the Rift Valley, thereby enjoying fantastic views to Lake Manyara National Park directly below and to Maasai land in the distance. After having reached the top edge of the Rift Valley, you will continue to Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands. This lodge is located about 1 – 2 kilometers far from the border of the Ngorongoro wild forest.

Day 5: Trip to Serengeti National Park

Today will be a longer trip to Serengeti. At first you will drive through wonderful wild forest up the slopes of Ngorongoro Crater until you reach the top of the Crater rim. If there isn’t any fog, you will enjoy a fantastic view to the crater floor 600 metres far below, with a diameter of roughly 20 kilometres. Thereafter you will continue with your safari to Serengeti. In Serengeti you will continue with game drives until the later afternoon. You will then head to Serengeti Green Hills Camp in Central Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

You will do a full day’s game drive in Serengeti. In this park you have the biggest chances to see the 3 big cats lion, leopard and cheetah. After game drives until the later afternoon you will return to Serengeti Green Hills Camp.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Today you will do a further full day’s game drive in Serengeti. Your driver will do his best to show you as much as possible of this huge park. He will also try his best to show you as many animals as possible. You will return again to your camp in the later afternoon.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast you will cross the Serengeti and you will head to Ngorongoro Crater rim. Thereafter you will drive down to the Crater floor. Here you will see lots of wildlife spread almost all over the floor. If you are lucky, you might even see some of the last rhinos of Tanzania, as well as some huge elephant bulls with huge tusks. You will leave the Crater shortly before the expiry of the permitted time. The drive up to the Crater rim will allow you once more spectacular views down to the Crater Floor. You will then leave the Conservation Area and will head back to Karatu and from there to Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge.

Day 9: Tarangire National Park

In the earlier morning you will drive down to the foot of the Rift Valley and will head to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is the park in Northern Tanzania with the largest elephant population. Very impressing as the many baobab trees. You will do game drives until the later afternoon. Thereafter you will leave the park and will head to Arusha and from there to Usa River and to Meru View Lodge.

Day 10: Departure

Your driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport or to Arusha Airport, depending if you are planning to fly back home or if you might want to continue to Zanzibar.

All transfers and safaris by car, professional safari guide, accommodation and board according to description above in best available rooms/tents in price category requested, all entrance fees to National Parks and Game Reserves, all conservancy fees as specified. Unexpected increased park fees will be charged.
